Glechoma hederaceae, commonly known as Ground Ivy, is a rhizomatous perennial with a root system that sends out long, trailing, unbranched stems which root at each node and bear numerous kidney shaped dark green hairy leaves with indented margins and opposite leaf arrangments.The flowers are placed three or four together in the axils of the upper leaves and are typical two-lipped purple-blue with a white throat.▲ ► Zones 5-9
