Acrotome is comprised of About 8 species of annual or perennial herbs and subshrubs with entire or toothed leaves, dense terminal inflorescences which are generally white in color, and have tips with spines. They are distinguishable by a peculiar arrangement of stamens which are included in the corolla and held together by intermingling hairs. It also has a shorter upper lip than that of the lower. Acrotome is native to South Africa..The following species are representative of this genera. |
