THE GENERA AJUGA

Ajuga is a genera of 40 species of clump forming or spreading evergreen, rhizomatous perennials which are commonly found in shady habitats through Europe and Asia.They have alternate, entire or toothed leaves and 2 lipped blue flowers from spring-summer.


Ajuga decubens or Kirane-So is a low growing, evergreen perennial with purple flowers which bloom from March - May . It prefers shady areas.

Ajuga reptans, often referred to as carpet bugleweed is a creeping, rhizomatous perennial which spreads rapidly by stolons. It has partly hairy stems,with ovate dark green leaves and bears dark blue flowers in early summer.▲ 6" ► 24"" Zone 3-9
